More people will listen to it when it’s mixed properly. At the end of the day it’s a killer song and deserves to be treated as the master piece it truly is.Ī great mix brings out all the nice sounding details, everything will sound balanced, natural, with great depth and comfortable to the ears. The truth is, what matter is the music, but if a song had great success with poor mix, awful production and crap sounding tones, chances are this same song would go huge if it was mixed properly. Does this mean everything related to production doesn’t really matter? After all, nobody buys a record only with perfect quality kick drums and no actual music to it, do they? My favourite for sure.Just because a song or a particular album has great success, doesn’t necessarily mean it has a great recording quality, mix and not even a proper master. Beautiful album, less repetitive and more progressive than his usual works. There is several songs from disc 2 that I couldn't get but 2nd best for me, just below Random Album Title. tracks on here, and a lot of great piano melodies. Not only does his "progressive house" tracks sound more interesting than usual, but there's also a lot of interesting I.D.M. This 25-track masterpiece is definitely my personal favorite. You have to have the taste for piano music though. Deadmau5 earned his first career GRAMMY nomination for 2008 for Best Remixed Recording for The Longest. Its an incredible piece of music that you should all check out. 13 on Billboards Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart. Also, so many genres are covered in this album, such as electro house, ambient house, piano music, industrial rock, and whatever the heck Silent Picture's genre is. Some uplifting and happy, some sad and melancholic. The second disc is a serious grower! It has so many beautiful songs.
